The following deposition transcripts have been filed with the court and are part of the public record. Both depositions feature Reverend Rodney Haveman — named in the federal complaint as an enterprise coordinator who organized secret meetings, filed false police reports, and participated in the coordinated scheme to remove Pastor Steven Soto. Howard B. Mankoff, Esq. of Marshall Dennehey appeared as counsel in both proceedings.
Case SWC-F-004225-24 — 340 Bogert Funding LLC v. River Edge Church et al.
Chancery Division: Bergen County
425 Eagle Rock Ave, Roseland, NJ
Marshall Dennehey
This deposition was taken in the manufactured foreclosure case (SWC-F-004225-24) — the case in which Marshall Dennehey's Howard Mankoff continues to falsely claim that his "clients" own Pastor Soto's church building, despite prior litigation on the same claims being dismissed with prejudice. The deposition was conducted at Marshall Dennehey's own offices in Roseland, NJ, where Mankoff appeared as defense counsel for the Reformed Church of Cherry Hill and New Bridge. The plaintiff in this case — 340 Bogert Funding LLC — is controlled by defendant Daniel J. Houlihan Jr.
Case BER-C-153-20 — Reformed Church of Cherry Hill v. Steven Soto
General Equity Part: Bergen County
541 4th Ave, Westwood, NJ
Justin Johnson, Esq.
Marshall Dennehey
This deposition was taken in BER-C-153-20 — the malicious prosecution case that was ultimately dismissed with prejudice in Soto's favor. Both Howard Mankoff and Justin Johnson of Marshall Dennehey appeared as counsel for the plaintiff and witness. The case was the first wave of litigation against Soto. Despite the dismissal with prejudice, defendants continued litigation on the same underlying claims — conduct the federal complaint characterizes as intentional fraud on the court.
"Our primary effort is to get Steven Soto out of the house that we own."
This testimony was given under oath in a case that was later dismissed with prejudice. Defendants subsequently continued to litigate the same claims through additional cases.
